Today Our Daily Bread Psalm 16 & John 1:14

Psalm 16:1-11
1 A Secret Treasure of David.
Watch over me, O God, for I take refuge in You.
2 Oh my soul you have said to Jehovah, You are my Lord; My goodness is nothing apart from You. 3 As for the saints in the earth, they are the excellent ones; all my delight is in them. 4 Their sorrows shall multiply if they run after another god . I will not pour out their drink offering of blood; and I will not take their names on my lips.
5 Jehovah is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup; You shall surely uphold my lot. 6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places ; yea, I have a beautiful inheritance. 7 I will bless Jehovah, who counseled me. My reins also teach me in the nights.
8 I have set Jehovah always before me; for He is at my right hand: I shall not be shaken. 9 So my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; my flesh shall also rest in hope. 10 For You will not leave My soul in Sheol; You will not give Your Holy One to see corruption. 11 You will make Me know the way of life. In Your presence is fullness of joys; at Your right hand are pleasures forever.

Can you imagine yourself a Psalmist of millenniums ago? You love God, You know Him, because you know His love, you minister to Him in prayer and praise and he shows you things, things you do not at all know how to express, things you’ve absolutely never seen in your natural surroundings. You’ve sen them only in times of prayer or while asleep, whether in the day or night, you feel you “dream” of these odd things, happenings. You have no idea you are an intercessory prophet, but you know you are a worshipper and a lover of God and men, you write songs of praise to God, some of these things don’t seem exactly like praise, ut they come to you while you are in His presence, so you write them down, you sing of what you see and ‘know of”, it is so vivid , so clear to your mind’s eye that you can hardly help yourself, you find yourself proclaiming it out into the natural earth realm where you live. You declare His works, plans, glory. You sing of His great love, a love you’ll never be able to fathom the expression of completely. Will any of us in this state be able to express it in this natural life? He would like for us to try.
So this worshiper sees some things? What does he see? He sees Jesus. A pure spotless Lamb, yet a man, yet God, how can he understand? He sees corruption of the eternal sort, hell as it were, but he does not understand. He only understands oh so clearly, the presence of His Lord, and the glory of His Majesty. He knows that and in the vision he sees, he recognizes the presence of this Master stronger than ever. He knows God is all there, yet in hell? Ahh he sees, a rising OUT of that eternal doom and damnation, and that same eternal presence he is sensing is the authority that causes the rising to appear. What glory and splendor, what miraculous works! Somehow I know this is the hope for this corrupted world that I live in. Somehow I go on knowing….there’s so much more.
Lead me there, Lord, keep me on the pathway that will help me to lead others to that place also.
Notice vs. 3, as for the Saints, THEY are the excellent ones! ALL MY (God’s) delight is in them! Can you imagine this worshiper, knowing the presence of God, the maker of the whole universe, the one who loves him as no other, the one who leads him into that miraculous glorious place, that one saying about humans, they are ALL MY delight? Wait a minute, did I hear Him right? All His delight? All?
Hmm???
How can or could or would that be?
It can only be.
That God sent men to the earth as answers to the rebellion, to the universal problem of two words where one word reigned.
Man was sent by God to the earth to use His free will to freely worship God, as this worshiper chose to do.
Man is/was the answer to the chaos and confusion that the result of that great fall caused in the earth.
There was darkness.
God had to deal with it, because He is Light.
There was rebellion rather than response and God wanted to prove the power of His love to rule inside of a freewill being. He sent man to prove it to a whole host of dark angels, who had made their ‘home” in the earth.
That was and IS the plan.
My delight is in ALL of the Saints.
And with the heavenly and Light angelic host the saints cry out on purpose, because they decisde to cry this and so, “Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God Almighty”. Because of their freewill, they could rise up and rule of their own, they could rebel, they could follow the fllen ones in rebellion, but they CHOOSE not to, and to serve and worship God Most High.
All MY delight is in these! Amen!


John 1:14 So the Word became human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. F1 And we have seen his glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father.
