Matthew 1
The Families Jesus Came Through
1These are the families through which Jesus Christ came. He came through David and Abraham. 2Abraham was the father of Isaac. Isaac was the father of Jacob. Jacob was the father of Judah and his brothers. 3Judah was the father of Perez and Zerah. Their mother was Tamar. Perez was the father of Hezron. Hezron was the father of Aram. 4Aram was the father of Amminadab. Amminadab was the father of Nahshon. Nahshon was the father of Salmon. 5Salmon was the father of Boaz. The mother of Boaz was Rahab. Boaz was the father of Obed. The mother of Obed was Ruth. Obed was the father of Jesse. 6Jesse was the father of David the king.
King David was the father of Solomon. His mother had been the wife of Uriah. 7Solomon was the father of Rehoboam. Rehoboam was the father of Abijah. Abijah was the father of Asa. 8Asa was the father of Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat was the father of Joram. Joram was the father of Uzziah. 9Uzziah was the father of Jotham. Jotham was the father of Ahaz. Ahaz was the father of Hezekiah. 10Hezekiah was the father of Manasseh. Manasseh was the father of Amon. Amon was the father of Josiah. 11Josiah was the father of Jeconiah and his brothers at the time the people were taken to Babylon.
12After they were taken to the city of Babylon, Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel. Shealtiel was the father of Zerubbabel. 13Zerubbabel was the father of Abiud. Abiud was the father of Eliakim. Eliakim was the father of Azor. 14Azor was the father of Zadok. Zadok was the father of Achim. Achim was the father of Eliud. 15Eliud was the father of Eleazar. Eleazar was the father of Matthan. Matthan was the father of Jacob. 16Jacob was the father of Joseph. Joseph was the husband of Mary. She was the mother of Jesus Who is called the Christ. 17So the number of families from Abraham to David was fourteen. The number of families from David to the time the people were taken to Babylon was fourteen. The number of families after they were taken to Babylon to the birth of Jesus Christ was fourteen.
The Birth Of Jesus
18The birth of Jesus Christ was like this: Mary His mother had been promised in marriage to Joseph. Before they were married, it was learned that she was to have a baby by the Holy Spirit. 19Joseph was her promised husband. He was a good man and did not want to make it hard for Mary in front of people. He thought it would be good to break the promised marriage without people knowing it. 20While he was thinking about this, an angel of the Lord came to him in a dream. The angel said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. She is to become a mother by the Holy Spirit. 21A Son will be born to her. You will give Him the name Jesus because He will save His people from the punishment of their sins."
22This happened as the Lord said it would happen through the early preacher. 23He said, "The young woman, who has never had a man, will give birth to a Son. They will give Him the name Immanuel. This means God with us." (Isaiah 7:14) 24Joseph awoke from his sleep. He did what the angel of the Lord told him to do. He took Mary as his wife. 25But he did not have her, as a husband has a wife, until she gave birth to a Son. Joseph gave Him the name Jesus.
~Lena’s Journalin’~
Jesus came to earth through a whole line of humans. Imperfect people groups. Peoples who sinned, made mistakes, wrong choices, and lived in the effects of curses on the earth. He also came through sinners turned to God, people who sought the Lord, and obeyed His will and call. God came to earth through people!
Does He come any other way today?
He said He’d leave us a part of His Godhead that would live inside of anyone who invites Him in. He said He’d never leave us alone, He said we’d have a way to have His peace with us alwqys. He said to as many would receive Him, he’d also call them Son’s of God, just as Jesus was called THE SON of GOD. This has been God’s way in the earth since the beginning. God sent His Son, the firstborn of many brethren. He sent the way to the Father. After finding that way, then we are also meant to lead many other sons along the way also. God desired a family and after Jesus made that way clear, now the whole world can become luiterally birthed into God’s Holy Kingdom, through who? Sons, daughters, family members, us. The world is eagerly awaiting our revelation of this truth. We are the appointed and anointed sons of God! If we do not know it or operate in it, the world suffers, the earth groans, travails. Sons MUST come forth! Ever hear the scripture- Let God arise and let His enemies be scattered? Oh sons of God arise, with the greatest One who lives inside of you, go and save the earth from the doom of its sins, from the effect of not knowing the Father. Go, Go, Go!
When sons of God arise because they receive revelation of Him and of His will and of the purposes He’s set them here for, they have prepared the way of the Lord! His coming has been revealed to their own hearts. They have received Him along with His heart and mandate. They are now matured enough to be a father as He is a Father, to show the Father to others and the way of the Father to others. They are ready to reproduce, no matter their spiritual age. Jesus can now come, can now be born inside of someone else they talk to or share with or demonstrate their new life before. The greatest tool of ministry and teaching is one’s life. Teach and preach with your life, don’t forget to use a few words here and there, to bring the powerful tool of God’s word on the scene, but make sure and back it up with life. A wise man will do the words of God that he hears.
Listen to the scripture saying- do not be afraid, to take into your life the seed of the word of God. To become joined to it, and it to you, come into a covenantal committed relationship with God’s word and God’s human people. Don’t be afraid of allowing what I, the Lord plant in you to be brought forth and become visible in your life, visible enough for others to see, visible enough to save a dying world, Amen.

John 1:14 So the Word became human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. F1 And we have seen his glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father.
