Lena Journals to Luke 7 Today

What have you heard about Jesus that has sparked a new action of faith in you?
Have you told anyone else something about Jesus that has sparked an action of faith towards God in their lives?
Do you believe there are rewards of favor for those who diligently seek the Lord?
We do not seek reward, nor are we saved through a good work, but favor is given to righteous men who choose to walk in ways of righteousness, also blessings come to those who follow after His ways.
Can the Lord speak a word only and healing come to you, or does He have to play, dance, sing and perform for you in order for you to believe and receive?
Are you a person under authority?
As much authority as a person is under, is also how much he trusts God. Also how much he is willingly under, is how much he has in the spirit.
Authority is given to responsible ones, and withheld form irresponsible ones.
It almost seemed the grieving was more intent over the boy being a firstborn son, than someone else. Why would that be?
He’s the responsible one, or will be trained to be responsible for the family at some point, he is who the family places great hopes for their future in.
Think about it, was Jesus not this for His Father and for all the family of the kingdom?
A firstborn son, was given for the salvation of many. He was the most valuable gift to give, understanding responsibility and inheritances.
We are all messengers of God, if we accept the invitation extended us. We prepare the way of the Lord for someone, whether by word or deed, we are someone’s impression of the kingdom of God.
How humble we are is what leaves the best impression. Humility does not necessarily mean lowliness, it means submissiveness to God and His word and will.
Do you complain much in life? About what?
What kind of perspective do you have on life? What kind of glasses do you see through? Your view can be altered by many things. It takes a decision and new training to have a kingdom of God on earth view.
God is not favorable on an unthankful or a complaining spirit.
He has done so much for us, even if we never saw a supernatural blessing. We have Jesus and the work of the cross and the resurrection, we have been given the Holy Spirit to live inside of us, what else do we need? Really. If we can’t be overwhelmingly thankful in all of that, what or who do we serve and love?
Wisdom is shown…to the ones who follow it. Not to those who want to be entertained by God and His supernatural wonders. Seeing the wonders should lead us to walk in His wisdom and desire His righteousness with extreme revelation and thankfulness.
The woman with the expensive perfume has this revelation. She was so able to give up her life’s savings to be at Jesus’ feet, to show Him how valuable His work was to her, even when He hadn’t completed it yet. She was investing her life with vision for the future others would benefit from.
This woman could be the church. Many times in the scripture the woman is representative of the church. Is the body of Christ this appreciative of the work Jesus has done for them? Enough to give their own life up for it?
Forgiveness is a huge kingdom principle to live by.
It is what everything kingdom is about.
Are you making someone pay for their sin done to you? If so, we stand in the place of God judging them. That is very unhealthy spiritually speaking. That is like saying the Jesus’ sacrifice for me and for the forgiveness of my sins, was not enough for me to believe God to heal me of the hurt you’ve inflicted upon me. If His sacrifice was enough or us, we can easily give up and forgive debts we feel people owe us. It is based on the revelation of Christ’s sacrifice so freely given to us. If we believe His bloodshed was powerful enough to forgive us personally, we also believe it is enough to forgive others of offenses.
There is a passage that says, if we do not forgive others, God will also not forgive us. What we give we we’ll get, what we do to others will be done to us also, and what we sow is what we reap. This is kingdom behavior. We live this way because we believe God’s word. It’s not based on how we feel about it or if it makes sense. God said it, we believe it, period, so we live it. If I want forgiveness, I give it. Remember the woman =’s the church. Is the body of Christ forgiving? Or do they make people pay for their sins?
Think about it, sin has consequence. Like if I fornicate, I may get a disease, be hurt when I’m left unloved by the uncommitted person I become physically intimate with, and I may feel lonely now that they left me alone, or I may be pregnant out of marriage, and have to raise a child myself, which can cause me hardship. All of that is consequence.
The person who sins suffers the consequence without any input from society. Yes, society may have to pay for this person’s sin also, they pay for research to try to help this person with the disease they just contracted, there may be financial hardship incurred where a state or county has to extend costs and taxes may go up to help this new life be raised in the society, etc. These are also all consequences.
Now, say I repent and learn my lesson, and stop fornicating, I deal with the consequences as best I can, but society is angry with me, taunts me, wants me to see how bad I’ve made things for people and myself, want to keep reviewing the consequence and thinks I owe them more than I’m already paying. I owe explanations every time I see my mom, and my boss, they want me to hurt, because I caused them pain, they want me to remember what bad decisions I made and not forget it, as if somehow, when I remember it at every turn it’ll keep me off of the fornicators bandwagon or something.
Do you see the difference between, forgiveness, consequence and repentance?
The person IS paying for their sins, why do we feel required to rub it in more and make them pay a lifetime for it?
Jesus forgave and so should we, especially those who do not deserve it. We literally did not deserve it, no matter how small we think our own sins are.
