The name Elijah means, “Faithful to God”
Is this the spirit that dwells in us in our day? Are we faithful to God? Do we fear Him enough to obey Him? Do we obey His words when they come to us in an indirect way? Like through an unsuspecting messenger, the voice of a person we know too well?
This is how many people miss God, miss obeying Him. They listen for an earthquake type of voice, they listen for God to speak in some sort of storm, or some sort of landslide, as Elijah did, but when he comes to speak to us through our best friend or husband or mother or Bible study leader or even pastor we disregard it as a word form God. Beware, this is how the word of God is taken, even stolen form us. These are the still small voices. If one is diligently seeking God, he will find Him, if he searches for Him with all of His heart.
An arrogant heart has to see it one way, their way, and is closed minded. You may deal with this in your day to day life and have grown so comfortable with it’s attitude that you don’t recognize it as an enemy of God’s spirit. Time to totally annihilate the enemies of God and of your own soul!
Who is this spirit of “Elijah” it is the spirit of those who’s love is truly for God and are faithfully His.
