2 Kings 7:1-20 -
1Elisha replied, "Hear this message from the LORD! This is what the LORD says: By this time tomorrow in the markets of Samaria, five quarts of fine flour will cost only half an ounce of silver, F16 and ten quarts of barley grain will cost only half an ounce of silver. F17 "
2The officer assisting the king said to the man of God, "That couldn't happen even if the LORD opened the windows of heaven!" But Elisha replied, "You will see it happen, but you won't be able to eat any of it!"
Lepers Visit the Enemy Camp
3Now there were four men with leprosy F18 sitting at the entrance of the city gates. "Why should we sit here waiting to die?" they asked each other. 4"We will starve if we stay here, and we will starve if we go back into the city. So we might as well go out and surrender to the Aramean army. If they let us live, so much the better. But if they kill us, we would have died anyway."
5So that evening they went out to the camp of the Arameans, but no one was there! 6For the Lord had caused the whole army of Aram to hear the clatter of speeding chariots and the galloping of horses and the sounds of a great army approaching. "The king of Israel has hired the Hittites and Egyptians F19 to attack us!" they cried out. 7So they panicked and fled into the night, abandoning their tents, horses, donkeys, and everything else, and they fled for their lives.
8When the lepers arrived at the edge of the camp, they went into one tent after another, eating, drinking wine, and carrying out silver and gold and clothing and hiding it. 9Finally, they said to each other, "This is not right. This is wonderful news, and we aren't sharing it with anyone! If we wait until morning, some terrible calamity will certainly fall upon us. Come on, let's go back and tell the people at the palace."
10So they went back to the city and told the gatekeepers what had happened—that they had gone out to the Aramean camp and no one was there! The horses and donkeys were tethered and the tents were all in order, but there was not a single person around. 11Then the gatekeepers shouted the news to the people in the palace.
Israel Plunders the Camp
12The king got out of bed in the middle of the night and told his officers, "I know what has happened. The Arameans know we are starving, so they have left their camp and have hidden in the fields. They are expecting us to leave the city, and then they will take us alive and capture the city."
13One of his officers replied, "We had better send out scouts to check into this. Let them take five of the remaining horses. If something happens to them, it won't be a greater loss than if they stay here and die with the rest of us."
14So two chariots with horses were prepared, and the king sent scouts to see what had happened to the Aramean army. 15They went all the way to the Jordan River, following a trail of clothing and equipment that the Arameans had thrown away in their mad rush to escape. The scouts returned and told the king about it. 16Then the people of Samaria rushed out and plundered the Aramean camp. So it was true that five quarts of fine flour were sold that day for half an ounce of silver, and ten quarts of barley grain were sold for half an ounce of silver, just as the LORD had promised. 17The king appointed his officer to control the traffic at the gate, but he was knocked down and trampled to death as the people rushed out. So everything happened exactly as the man of God had predicted when the king came to his house. 18The man of God had said to the king, "By this time tomorrow in the markets of Samaria, five quarts of fine flour will cost half an ounce of silver, and ten quarts of barley grain will cost half an ounce of silver." 19The king's officer had replied, "That couldn't happen even if the LORD opened the windows of heaven!" And the man of God had said, "You will see it happen, but you won't be able to eat any of it!" 20And so it was, for the people trampled him to death at the gate!

~ Lena’s Journalin’ ~
Oh My Lord, THIS is what the call of God’s Spirit is saying to us today, in this season and hour, get on board, NOW. Don’t wait any longer, don’t hesitate, just as these people did not see the famine coming, so they also did not see the prosperity returning. Do you also know what truly is ahead of us? In either famine or prosperity, did they have and keep their faith in God, obtain faith in God? If not, they will not partake of the eternal kingdom. I’m telling you, Get on the boat! Get on the Boat, it is lifesaving time, no doubt.
Ya know how people doubt these truly being the last days, because it’s been said for 2000 years that these are the last days? Well they are, for someone we know, someone we influence, someone we reach. If we do not live as though it is an urgent time, we’ve missed the boat and cannot save others who are depending on us to save their souls before their last days come.
Hey, if you’ve missed the boat, it is coming around again, get on it! Really, it is time, now.
Do not say it can’t or won’t happen yet. In a DAY….
So are you diseased and your illness has held you back, has shame held you back, has anything held you back? It is time to break out of that and go for it, get what God has awaiting you! If you do not you may die as you are, what a tragedy that would be. God has a work to do with each one of us. He is working in us so we can do His work with Him. Let’s allow His work to appear in us so we can get on with His much desired and much awaited work. Our lifetime is not all to be spent with God working on us, though He loves us enough that He will spend our whole life healing us, fixing us, cleaning us up etc. Do we love Him enough to get healed, walk free and go do His work? To allow His work to appear in us?
Since you’ve believed in Jesus, how many people have you told about Him? About how He saved you, delivered you? Why sit here, get fed, like crazy with great word, and not open your life and heart to the fix so your tongue can be loosed. The word says what we bind is bound, what we loose is loosed. We’ve has wrong thinking, we’ve thought that He’s going to do it to and for us, NO it is time to rise up and walk.
You have to get up and go to church. Yeah maybe people there have hurt you, maybe people there are ones you don’t get along with, so what, go get healed! Go bring healing! You don’t go to church to please people, but to please God and He is asking you to learn to love people and face enemies of your soul, do what’s hard with His help. You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength.
Those lepers had to go into the enemies camp, maybe church has been that for you. Wow, huh? Go there anyway. Watch the Lord plunder the camp of the enemy for you, the brave one who stepped out in faith to please God. God is for you and no one can be against you when you meet with Him.
