Hebrews 2
A Warning against Drifting Away
1So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it. 2The message God delivered through angels has always proved true, and the people were punished for every violation of the law and every act of disobedience. 3What makes us think that we can escape if we are indifferent to this great salvation that was announced by the Lord Jesus himself? It was passed on F9 to us by those who heard him speak, 4and God verified the message by signs and wonders and various miracles and by giving gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever he chose to do so.

5And furthermore, the future world we are talking about will not be controlled by angels. 6For somewhere in the Scriptures it says,
"What is man that you should think of him, and the son of man F10 that you should care for him?
7 For a little while you made him lower than the angels, and you crowned him with glory and honor. F11
8 You gave him authority over all things." F12
Now when it says "all things," it means nothing is left out. But we have not yet seen all of this happen. 9What we do see is Jesus, who "for a little while was made lower than the angels" and now is "crowned with glory and honor" because he suffered death for us. Yes, by God's grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone in all the world. 10And it was only right that God—who made everything and for whom everything was made—should bring his many children into glory. Through the suffering of Jesus, God made him a perfect leader, one fit to bring them into their salvation.
11So now Jesus and the ones he makes holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brothers and sisters. F13 12For he said to God,
"I will declare the wonder of your name to my brothers and sisters. F14 I will praise you among all your people."
13He also said, "I will put my trust in him." And in the same context he said, "Here I am—together with the children God has given me." F15
14Because God's children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—Jesus also became flesh and blood by being born in human form. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the Devil, who had the power of death. 15Only in this way could he deliver those who have lived all their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.
16We all know that Jesus came to help the descendants of Abraham, not to help the angels. 17Therefore, it was necessary for Jesus to be in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. He then could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people. 18Since he himself has gone through suffering and temptation, he is able to help us when we are being tempted.

When the Bible says any truth, it IS THE truth. That means we need to turn our heads, ears, eyes, all senses towards it and then be prepared to see it, know it, and be a guard to keep it.
Usually commands of the words can be heeded as warnings and challenges. That means a wise person will see the contest that will peek its head around the corner to steal what was just said. So, if the word says, listen, guess what? That means that’s the important part to listen and pay attention to. It would not be good to regard that as any other word. It means wake up, get in a place to secure what you are about to hear..
Here it says, listen carefully. That’s even further emphasized, and so one must know how important it is to God we do this.
There’s always a cause and an effect for every action.
We are responsible to God to steward what He’s so freely given to us in and through His word.
The word of God was freely given us, but it is not at all free! It not only cost Jesus His life, but many who followed Him knowing its truth, also gave their lives and shed their blood for us to have what we do today. The free part is the will surrendered to the use of the Master.
There is a book that would be good for us all to read called, “The Purpose & Power of Prayer” by Miles Munroe. This work really lays out our place on the earth as humans and really why we are here and how we’ve been so deceived by religion to believe we are just pegs on a map who have no real control of the universe, taking no responsibility for the world we’ve been appointed to live in by God.
In Acts it says, God sets up boundary lines and He puts certain people within those boundaries on the globe, why? To rule. Genesis says to man, be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, rule, reign!
These were not options, they are the very design of God and purpose for man. If man does not know it he and his world perish. When man stays in the dark, a world is lost.
A light has shined, electricity has been invented, hit the switch and viola. It is up to us to hit the switch. For us to say there’s no light on, is ignorance, the potential for light is all around, plug in the lamp cords and turn on the light that is here. It is available to us, if we want it. Light has come.
Find out who you are and why you are here. No one does that for us, we go after it, because we want to. God put in each of us the desire to. If we don’t its our own faults.
What is man? A steward of all God has made.
What is man? One meant to rule with God, God in heaven, man as rep on earth.
What is man? One who can emanate the very imagery of Christ in earth suits!
Why does specific man not see these things? He doesn’t know to look, no one tells him or he is not interested. It is available to whosoever wills to know Him and His purposes.
Man, has been given authority over all things by God!
Man has yet to pick up the baton. If we know it is ours to pick up, we need to consider it and decide on it.
Just do it.
Those who overcome do just that.
They take in hand what God has given and they create.
We’ve been given tools to create our worlds, either for evil or good, it really is up to us.
Jesus only came to show us the way to our Father, now it is we who must decide to go where He went, into fellowship and communion with God , getting instruction there and Going out from there empowered to do whatever He tells us to.
The purpose of Jesus was to make the way, open up the door, He was the first, we are next in line.
The will has been declared, if we don’t show up to claim what is now our portion to guard and keep and increase, that’s not God’s fault.
He overcame the enemy for us so we could do the work in the earth, in all the earth for our Father.
