1 Peter 1

1I, Peter, am an apostle on assignment by Jesus, the Messiah, writing to exiles scattered to the four winds. Not one is missing, not one forgotten. 2God the Father has his eye on each of you, and has determined by the work of the Spirit to keep you obedient through the sacrifice of Jesus. May everything good from God be yours!
A New Life
3What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have him, this Father of our Master Jesus! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we've been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, 4including a future in heaven--and the future starts now! 5God is keeping careful watch over us and the future. The Day is coming when you'll have it all--life healed and whole.
6I know how great this makes you feel, even though you have to put up with every kind of aggravation in the meantime. 7Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put through this suffering comes out proved genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it's your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory.
8You never saw him, yet you love him. You still don't see him, yet you trust him--with laughter and singing. 9Because you kept on believing, you'll get what you're looking forward to: total salvation.
10The prophets who told us this was coming asked a lot of questions about this gift of life God was preparing. 11The Messiah's Spirit let them in on some of it--that the Messiah would experience suffering, followed by glory. They clamored to know who and when. 12All they were told was that they were serving you, you who by orders from heaven have now heard for yourselves--through the Holy Spirit--the Message of those prophecies fulfilled. Do you realize how fortunate you are? Angels would have given anything to be in on this!
A Future in God
13So roll up your sleeves, put your mind in gear, be totally ready to receive the gift that's coming when Jesus arrives. 14Don't lazily slip back into those old grooves of evil, doing just what you feel like doing. You didn't know any better then; you do now. 15As obedient children, let yourselves be pulled into a way of life shaped by God's life, a life energetic and blazing with holiness. 16God said, "I am holy; you be holy."
17You call out to God for help and he helps--he's a good Father that way. But don't forget, he's also a responsible Father, and won't let you get by with sloppy living.Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God. 18It cost God plenty to get you out of that dead-end, empty-headed life you grew up in. 19He paid with Christ's sacred blood, you know. He died like an unblemished, sacrificial lamb. 20And this was no afterthought. Even though it has only lately--at the end of the ages--become public knowledge, God always knew he was going to do this for you. 21It's because of this sacrificed Messiah, whom God then raised from the dead and glorified, that you trust God, that you know you have a future in God.
22Now that you've cleaned up your lives by following the truth, love one another as if your lives depended on it. 23Your new life is not like your old life. Your old birth came from mortal sperm; your new birth comes from God's living Word. Just think: a life conceived by God himself! 24That's why the prophet said,
The old life is a grass life, its beauty as short-lived as wildflowers;Grass dries up, flowers droop,
25God's Word goes on and on forever.
This is the Word that conceived the new life in you.

Lena’s Journalin’
It is so important, that we know in whatever circumstance, whatever position, whatever situation, whatever plight, that we know God is with us. Even IF it seems there is no “deliverance” physically, that causes the circumstance to change, we allow ourselves to learn and be perfected through the issue or trial, etc. That we come out, if not with any other victory, than to say we know God in every area of life, or death, and that we remain in faith, strong in Him.
No matter what it appears as, or what an enemy says to us in a lie, God has Not forgotten us!
Who told you that?
This is Our Father who loves us and gave up His only Son’s life for us, the One who truly loves us like no other, created a whole world for us to respond to Him in, and desires to dwell with us in pure fellowship forever.
I love how this says - life begins now. Eternity begins for all. Either eternal life or eternal death is working in us. Life for those born into God’s kingdom while on earth, death to those who refuse to believe in Him and be renewed into kingdom living.
Aggravations? Yep. Why? To refine, purify, and agitate to cleanliness, as a washing machine does.
If we come through, that test and trial of our faith, then we know our faith is genuine, real, tried and true.
Do we realize who we are? What we are here for? What true life is all about yet?
Short version:
God created heaven and earth.
There was a rebellion in heaven.
Disaster hit earth in a fall. Evil fell to earth, darkness, doom, eternal death was here.
Boom.
God idea – God plan, make man, to rule, to win this war of rebellion against God.
Place him on earth, as a freewill being to reverse the curse brought on by a decision of the will.
Ew boy, the freewill is a strong power, BUT there is always an answer in God!
Jesus, the man, came to take back what was stolen through trickery, to reclaim what belongs to God and man.
Gave us the power to do that too, if we want to!
The question, do we know it, and do we really want it, will we do it too?
As Him, as His on the earth?
His love draws us there, everyday we’re alive is another opportunity to know who we are in knowing Him and then that responsibility and passion to make Him and His great love known.
Do we know how fortunate we are, to be chosen this way by God, given this heavenly assignment and call?
Do we see it? How huge it is?
It is so important to live a holy, separated life. To choose what God would deem right, even if it is extreme. This is serious business turning darkness into light. What a call! What an assignment and amission, a co-mission we have with and in Him and He in us.
A life blazing with holiness. It’s not about what I can’t do. It’s about how much power from a life lived in separation unto God that I want. The deliberate on purpose willful separation form any resemblances of death or darkness is what turns up the power of light and life and the anointing flow. The anointing is the only thing that destroys yokes of bondages. Can’t be in and of the world. Have to be in and not at all of the world!
How much can I participate in any resemblances of doing evil? All I want to.
So, How much do I want to participate in what resembles darkness? I’m a freewill being, right? Right.
In righteousness and Godly desire, I don’t want to.
In His Lordship. my want to’s have changed.
I want holiness, purity, anointing, that He may be expressed clearly to those who need the light and its power to be available through me towards them.
He, as a Father, will not allow us to get by w/ sloppy living…wow.
In Christ, and in willful surrender to His Lordship, we accept the call to become responsible ones. Learning more and more and knowing we have a will to do. Then adapting that will as our own and doing His good pleasure.
Becoming one with Him in His will to do and to save.
