1 Thessalonians 5
1 Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters,[a] we don’t really need to write you. 2 For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. 3 When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains begin. And there will be no escape.
4 But you aren’t in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief.[b] 5 For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t belong to darkness and night. 6 So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. 7 Night is the time when people sleep and drinkers get drunk. 8 But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.
9 For God chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us. 10 Christ died for us so that, whether we are dead or alive when he returns, we can live with him forever. 11 So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.

Paul’s Final Advice
12 Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord’s work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance. 13 Show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work. And live peacefully with each other.
14 Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone.
15 See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people.
16 Always be joyful. 17 Never stop praying. 18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
19 Do not stifle the Holy Spirit. 20 Do not scoff at prophecies, 21 but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. 22 Stay away from every kind of evil.

Paul’s Final Greetings
23 Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. 24 God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful.
25 Dear brothers and sisters, pray for us.
26 Greet all the brothers and sisters with Christian love.[c]
27 I command you in the name of the Lord to read this letter to all the brothers and sisters.
28 May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

~ Lena’s Journalin’~
Hearing ears, seeing eyes, a tender heart all belong to those who seek Him. To those who seek His will, they are students and disciples of His word and His will, on purpose.
It is time to tune into Him. There are so many voices in the earth, each desirous of our attention and service, but only one voice, only one word is what will lead us on the pathway of Truth. I’ve been thinking so much lately of the word “Universe”; meaning “one word” or “same word”.
God prophetically put that word on the world, and as soon as men could say the word, they’ve been naming it in agreement with Him, saying the same thing about the world that He does.
So what is “the day of the Lord”? It is when light shines in darkness and darkness goes away. It is when understanding of Him comes to the extent that one was living for his own goals one day and the next he lives for God’s goals. It is the day when it belongs to Him because I willfully give it over to Him. It’s when the days, weeks, months and years of my life are given over to His work. It is also a day when He has His way, whether I give it to Him or not. That’s the fearsome part. That the day was ultimately His, it does belong to Him; He’ll come to claim what is His. I have a choice that would benefit me, to give it willingly. If I choose not to, then I join with eternal death when the day of His reckoning comes, and I choose death when the manifestation of His taking what is due Him, is given back to Him. It will be evidenced who belonged to His day or their own day. Any day that is not found to be wholly His day is the evil day.
So how secure do we feel? Are we self sufficient? Or all sufficient in Him?
Be on guard, ask, “Is my life being lived for myself, or for Him?”
Am I my own man, or God’s watchman?
Do I see thieves and robbers coming to take my faith and covenant relationships from a far off? Then do I guard my person or my relationships from the enemies of my soul or my relationships? That’s what a watchman does.
Am I awakened to hear My Father’s voice and know it well enough to stand at attention with great respect, enough to move as soon as He says move? Am I like an obedient soldier, because I know the cause is great and worthy and I serve The King of Kings and Lord of Lords? Or am I a volunteer, giving only what I feel I can, at the times I can?
The Lord is about to supernaturally equip His body with even physical enduring energy for the obedient. If we do not move forward to do His will, we won’t experience the gusts of Divine energy to do feats for God.
(I’m talking great feats like being at church whenever the doors are opened, whether for study time, fellowship time or prayer time, as well as doing our jobs, as well as cleaning our homes and caring for our families. I’m talking about feats such as witnessing by bringing people into our home lives. I’m talking about being a part of a group who serves the house at church in whatever way serves the house, so those who minister the word can do it without having to be burdened down with the work that others won’t do, while members come to be refreshed by the word that is given with great expense by the word givers who have been tired for they have been doing it all and thinking about who isn’t showing up to do this or that. Then bigger than that, the church is not doing what God wants done, because of the turn out. It does what it can with who it can, but it can and is commissioned by God to do more. Co-mission is a military word.
Soldiers gave their commitment and no longer have choices about anything they do. They are told when to get up, go to bed, Yes they are even told when to rest or get up; and what to wear, where to go or not go, when to eat, report for work, work out, go for checkups, how to wear their hair etc. they signed up, are being paid to serve. They went in willingly, yet giving up their will for the cause they serve.
Are we like that at all, or are we so independent even God cannot tell us what to do?
I watched a video trailer yesterday I though Oh God, we have had our day, have gone our own way, in the name of independence and freedom, we are dis-unified while our enemies agree so much that they are forming armies of 10’s of thousands under another name. The unity over lies, deception, murder, and all sorts of evil astounds me. All the while in being around one Christian on one given day, I hear talk of how we don’t agree on this or that issue, how we are different and wont fellowship this one or that one or read their books etc, because they are NOT like us!
Do you know God uses the heathen to judge His people? Dear God forgive us for contention, strife and division. We can do nothing for His name, if we cannot agree and unify under the banner of His name. Allah is a name, But JESUS IS THE NAME above every name. Do I bow willingly and readily to His name?
Watch this(12 minute) video, let the spirit of the Lord speak to your heart about being a solider, about being awake, about being on guard in prayer and obedient action for His kingdom to come and will to be done on earth as it is in heaven! Right here, right now through us! (Click here to view this video or copy and paste
http://www.obsessionthemovie.com/12min.htm) Ask God to show it to you with the eyes of an awakened spirit and to hear His call to spiritual warfare for His kingdom to come and will to be done through you, a committed serious Christian soldier.
Do you know how to best honor a Christian leader? Serve them, take some of their burden, help them. Clean floors, wash dishes, dust, vacuum, clean toilets, take out trashes, watch kids in nursery, be present at prayer meetings, get in to the word they ask you to read, BE an honest and consistent witness! Do what you say and open your mouth to make promises for the Lord that you’ll do.
Let’s awaken the dawning, Let’s arise and sing, Let’s further proclaim Him as King of me first then beyond! Let’s unify under His name.

Daily Thought to Ponder -
“Oh Give Thanks to the Lord for He is Good!”
