Psalm 97:1-12
1 The LORD is king! Let the earth rejoice! Let the farthest islands be glad.
2 Clouds and darkness surround him. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
3 Fire goes forth before him and burns up all his foes.
4 His lightning flashes out across the world. The earth sees and trembles.
5 The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.
6 The heavens declare his righteousness; every nation sees his glory.
7 Those who worship idols are disgraced— all who brag about their worthless gods— for every god must bow to him.
8 Jerusalem F80 has heard and rejoiced, and all the cities of Judah are glad because of your justice, LORD!
9 For you, O LORD, are most high over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods.
10 You who love the LORD, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked.
11 Light shines on the godly, and joy on those who do right.
12 May all who are godly be happy in the LORD and praise his holy name!
Lena's Journalin'
Obviously God loves to be praised. Isn't it funny that we who are created in His own image also are made to desire praise? Praise gives one a confirmation of love. No praise, no love, one might feel.
How does God know we love Him in return? We are more than willing to outwardly show it, and in a big way, by verbal giving praise. Ever notice in our day, how hard it is to give verbal praise? Everything in our world calls for critics to judge and evaluate and pick apart everything about everything and everybody all the time as though there is some sort of contest to see who can bring things or people down the fastest or the hardest.
In a world where worship of everything is being more given time and energy and attention than God, how could He know that He alone is the God we choose to serve? We have to show Him, we have to tell Him, we have to be a people who are willing to give, time, energy and attention to Him.
I go back to physical and personal relationships. If you only speak harshly or bad about a person or you never spend time with or on them, or if you never praise them or give to them, soon you'll find that there's not much of a real relationship there. God made each of us visible mini portraits of our realtionship with Him.
Is He the MOST HIGH in our lives?
Is He worthy of our personal praise?
Is He King, Lord and Master, or only Savior of our souls?
Do we give Him all glory?
Do we exalt His name above all others?
Do we maintain a relationship with Him, or do we grow one?
Do we hate evil?
Loving God means saying no to His enemies, that's covenant exchange.
Yes God, no world, Yes God, no evil. Yes, God no dissention. Yes God, no to silence of praise.
Say yes to God today!
Love U

John 1:14
So the Word became human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. F1 And we have seen his glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father.
